Tony Charles Systemic Psychotherapy

Family Therapy

Family therapy brings people together, in whatever form your family takes, to explore relationships, communication, and shared challenges. It can be especially helpful during times of change, conflict, or stress, when understanding each other becomes harder and patterns feel stuck.

Research shows that family therapy can improve communication, reduce conflict, strengthen relationships, and enhance emotional wellbeing — not just for individuals, but across the whole family system.

I work with families facing a wide range of challenges, including mental health difficulties, trauma, self-harm, behavioural concerns, sibling conflict, parenting struggles, neurodiversity, bereavement, separation, and changes in family structure. My approach is collaborative and inclusive, always sensitive to age, cultural background, and individual difference.

Grounded in systemic and trauma-informed practice, sessions help families notice unhelpful patterns, recognise their strengths, and find new ways of relating. Every voice is welcomed and valued. This is a space not only to work through problems, but to build emotional safety, deepen connection, and support resilience, together.
